For most families in the steppe communities, keeping livestock and selling milk were the only source of income and survival during the occupation. Now, due to the lack of markets and storage conditions, people simply feed the milk to pigs or pour it out.
Using household generators to power refrigerators is also impossible due to the total fuel shortage in the region.
As a reminder, as of mid-July almost all of the left-bank Kherson region remains without power.
The occupation governor of the region, Volodymyr Saldo, stated that in areas where a safety threat persists, repair work is postponed until the time when the presence of emergency crews is deemed safe.
