Public organization «My City» announces the launch of the second wave of the training program «Crowdstarter 2.0», designed for public organizations and activists from 12 regions of Ukraine.
After the successful completion of the offline intensive of the first wave of the program in Chernihiv, which united 15 teams from the eastern and central regions, «My City» opens opportunities for activists from the western and southern regions of Ukraine. The second wave of «Crowdstarter 2.0» will allow participants to master crowdfunding and attract funding for their own social projects.
Who can join?
Teams of 2-3 people from Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia, Volyn, Rivne, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi regions are invited to participate.
Requirements for teams:
- An idea for a non-profit and non-political social project.
- A registered public organization, charitable foundation, or a sole proprietor (FOP) registered to one of the team members.
- Ability to attend the program’s offline intensive in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Priority is given to projects in the areas of humanitarian and social assistance, volunteering, ecology and culture. Initiatives supporting veterans and their families are especially welcome.
What will participants receive?
The program provides comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of crowdfunding. During the program participants will learn crowdfunding, launch their campaigns, raise funds and implement their project. To this end, the following will be organized:
- A three-day offline intensive from November 28 to 30, 2025 in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
- Consultations from practitioners and experts of the civil society sector.
- Support from the “My City” team at all stages.
- The opportunity to receive additional funding of $1,000 (in hryvnia equivalent) based on the results of an online pitch.
The program includes training in crowdfunding basics, working with the team and the target audience, promoting the campaign on social networks, building partnerships and supporting the community after the fundraising is completed.
The organizers provide full free participation, including accommodation, meals and reimbursement of travel expenses during the offline event. An important advantage is that “My City” does not charge commissions on crowdfunding collections — all funds raised go directly to project implementation.
How to apply?
Key dates:
- Application deadline: until October 20, 2025.
- Selection results: by October 24 (inclusive).
- Offline intensive: November 28-30, 2025.
The program is designed for 25 teams, so selection will be competitive.

About the program’s effectiveness
Crowdfunding has proven effective as a tool for supporting socially important initiatives. The previous “Crowdstarter” program, which took place in 2024, united 21 teams that raised 988,146 hryvnias to implement their ideas. Among the implemented projects were the training of hospital clowns in Kharkiv, a series of New Year celebrations in the Lozova community, a retreat in the Carpathians for veterans and other local initiatives.
“Crowdstarter 2.0” creates a unique opportunity for civic activists not only to gain knowledge but also to implement concrete projects with real impact on communities. It is an investment in the future of Ukrainian civil society and in the development of a culture of mutual support.
Join the community of those who are changing Ukraine for the better.
