The Kherson City Court delivered a verdict against a local resident who in the summer of 2022 voluntarily assumed a position in the illegally created tax service of the Kherson region.
This was reported on the social media of the territorial office of the State Bureau of Investigations in Melitopol.
It is noted that in the position of deputy head of the department she took part in forming and ensuring the operation of the occupying authority, in particular she aided in organizing the collection of taxes for the benefit of the Russian Federation.
For voluntarily assuming a position in an illegal government body (part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) the court sentenced her in absentia to 13 years of imprisonment.
Earlier it was reported that another employee of the occupying tax service received in absentia 15 years with confiscation of all property.
