In Vilnius, on the eve of World Vyshyvanka Day, an exhibition of Ukrainian embroidery opened, featuring the works of an artisan from temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka, Natalia Bolska.
This was reported by SVOBODA.FM.
After being forced to leave the Kherson region, the artisan continued to pursue embroidery in Lithuania. At the exhibition she presented vyshyvankas, decorative pillows and paintings created in various techniques – cross-stitch, beadwork and ribbonwork.
«My vyshyvanka – I embroidered it already in Lithuania. I embroidered shirts for both my son and my husband. I am from the Kherson region, and this is our traditional Ukrainian embroidery: white, red with black», – said Natalia Bolska during the exhibition opening. Recall, earlier we wrote that in Zaporizhzhia they presented an exhibition about the monumental heritage of Nova Kakhovka.
