The occupation head of the council of deputies of Nova Kakhovka, Volodymyr Leontiev, was killed not by a drone, as the Russians reported this morning, but was blown up with a planted explosive device.

The military and Army TV presenter Serhiy Misyura has already claimed the Resistance Movement’s involvement in the elimination of the prominent collaborator.
The explosion occurred at the moment when Leontiev was entering the building.

Volodymyr Leontiev – former head of the occupation administration of Kakhovka district and Nova Kakhovka.
In March 2022 he gave the order to Russian servicemen to abduct and torture the mayor of Beryslav, Oleksandr Shapovalov, for which Valeriy Leontiev was sentenced to 15 years.
In April 2022 Leontiev received a suspicion of collaborationist activity. In the summer of the same year he was notified of involvement in the abduction of journalist Oleh Baturin.
In 2024 Leontiev was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for the unlawful detention of a journalist from the Kakhovka newspaper, the mayor of Tavriisk and the secretary of the Nova Kakhovka city council.
