A court has handed down a sentence to Crimean native Valeriy Holubovych, who went to serve in the occupying Emergency Situations Service on the left bank of Kherson region.
This is reported on the Judicial Authority’s website.
Investigators found that in September 2023 Holubovych became an assistant to the head in the fake MNS administration for Kherson region.
In this position Holubovych helped establish the work of the illegal agency and oversaw its units under the Russian flag.
In addition, he regularly participated in propaganda actions and events.
His work for the occupiers was proven using materials from media sources. The investigation located and analyzed video recordings of Holubovych’s appearances in occupation Telegram channels and photographs from mass events.
The court in absentia found Valeriy Holubovych guilty of collaborationist activity (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of all property.
It is known that Valeriy Holubovych was born in Crimea. For more than ten years he served in the Ukrainian State Emergency Service (DSNS) on the peninsula, where before the start of the occupation he rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel.
