The Kherson City Court found in absentia Kherson resident Tetiana Stolyar guilty, who held a position in the occupation passport office; she was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
This is stated in the court verdict.
The court determined that in June 2022 Tetiana Stolyar voluntarily agreed to work as the acting specialist of the occupation department of the passport-and-visa service of the Dniprovskyi city police department of the so-called Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kherson Oblast.
In this position she handled processing documents for obtaining Russian passports, issuing address certificates to residents of the Kherson region, and identifying persons who had lost their passport documents.
During the trial the court examined the order appointing Stolyar, documents of the occupation migration unit, her personnel file, as well as witness testimonies. One of the witnesses reported that during the occupation Tetiana Stolyar worked in the passport office and urged residents to submit documents to obtain Russian passports.
The court found Tetiana Stolyar guilty under Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — the voluntary taking by a citizen of Ukraine of a position in an illegal law enforcement body created in temporarily occupied territory.
In addition to 13 years of imprisonment, she was banned for 14 years from holding positions in law enforcement agencies, bodies of state power and local self-government, as well as from engaging in activities related to the provision of public services.
The court also ordered the confiscation of all property belonging to her. A ZAZ 110217 vehicle and a Honda Civic, which are joint marital property of the spouses, remained under seizure.
