Former HNTU lecturer Hanna Tikhosova received a sentence for aiding the aggressor state and collaborationist activity.
This was reported on the social media of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region.
According to SBU materials, during the occupation of Kherson Tikhosova headed the seized Kherson Maritime Academy.
In the role of the so-called rector she implemented Russian Federation education standards, organized the enrollment of cadets and teaching staff.
She also facilitated obtaining a pseudo-license and the registration of the academy within RF structures with the right to issue Russian-style diplomas.
Additionally, Tikhosova provided the institution’s premises for conducting an illegal pseudo-referendum, and before the liberation of Kherson she organized the removal of the educational institution’s property to the temporarily occupied left bank of the region.
According to SBU materials, the court found Tikhosova guilty under Part 1 of Article 111-2 (aiding the aggressor state) and Part 3 of Article 111-1 (collaborationist activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She was sentenced in absentia to 11 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
It should be noted that before the full-scale invasion Tikhosova worked as head of the Department of Commodity Science, Standardization and Certification at Kherson National Technical University.
After it became known that Tikhosova was working for the Russians, information about her was deleted on the HNTU website.
