Former clothing saleswoman Halyna Izyumenko became the new head of the occupation Council of Deputies of Nova Kakhovka on the left bank of the Kherson region.
Occupation sources report the election of Izyumenko.
On October 14, the so-called deputies supported Izyumenko’s candidacy and elected her head of the pseudo-council. She was nominated for this position by the presidium of the so-called regional branch of the Russian political party “United Russia”.
According to the business analytics system YouControl, in 2006 Izyumenko lived in Nova Kakhovka and was registered as an individual entrepreneur (FOP). At that time she sold clothing, cosmetics and perfumes, but after half a year she stopped this activity.
In 2023 Izyumenko sided with the occupying authorities, took part in the sham elections and became a deputy of the Council of Deputies of Nova Kakhovka from “United Russia”.
Previously the occupation council of deputies of Nova Kakhovka was headed by local collaborator Volodymyr Leontiev, but on October 1 his car was blown up. As a result of the explosion he suffered severe injuries and the same day died in a hospital in Nova Kakhovka.
