In the temporarily occupied settlement of Hornostaivka on the TOT of the Kherson region, another Cossack society was illegally registered.

On October 30, HKO “Gornostayevskoye” was registered. Valentin Skutin is listed as the society’s ataman.
According to open sources, before the annexation of Crimea Skutin worked as a rescuer in the Kherson region, and in 2015 he moved to Crimea and took a job with the occupying rescue service.
In 2020 he was recognized for diligent work and was added to the list on the Board of Honor of Fire Station No. 114 of the village of Novoandriivka, Simferopol district.
After the start of the full-scale invasion, Skutin returned to Hornostaivka and became the “chief firefighter” of the settlement, and now the occupation authorities have made him the so-called ataman.
