The Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson region may be headed by Serhiy Hlyhach instead of Denys Karimov.

This was told to MOST by a source in the Main Directorate of the National Police.

He currently serves as head of the department for combating group crime and solving offenses aimed at violating citizens’ equality, in the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police.

Glyhach’s colleagues, whom MOST spoke with, describe him as a good employee, but there is part of his biography that could seriously hamper his career advancement.

Serhiy Hlyhach was born in Nova Zburiyivka, then still part of Holoprystan district. His father was a policeman who retired in 2003 from the position of head of the Kherson City Police Department with the rank of colonel.

Serhiy managed to work at the Kalanchak police station, where he rose to head of the criminal police sector, and then moved to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police.

However, another event occurred between these — Hlyhach was dismissed from the police. Attestation Commission No. 3 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson region on June 17, 2016 concluded that Serhiy Hlyhach was not fit for the position he held. Based on this conclusion, the policeman was dismissed from service due to professional unsuitability.

Already in August of the same year the Kherson District Administrative Court found the decision of the attestation commission unlawful and annulled it, reinstating him to his position.

In 2022 Serhiy Hlyhach remained with his family in territory controlled by Ukraine, while his parents and other relatives remained in the occupied territories. In 2023 Serhiy Hlyhach’s parents and his sister became citizens of Russia.

The father and mother received Russian passports not in Kherson region, but in Anapa on June 22, 2023. The sister received hers a month later.

Interestingly, on social networks Hanna Hlyhach indicates that she lives in Israel and works there at a legal firm.

And indeed, according to leaked Russian databases, after obtaining a Russian passport in Anapa she returned to Israel on September 16, 2023 with her daughter and mother on flight Sochi–Tel Aviv No. A4-7025.

Before that she several times traveled in July, August and September to the occupied Skadovsk and Hola Prystan. Before the full-scale invasion she worked as a lawyer in Hola Prystan, and her former husband owned and managed the local market.

By the way, Volodymyr Udalov for some reason obtained his passport not in Hola Prystan, but in Novorossiysk. However, earlier – in January 2023. In the autumn of 2023 he was elected a deputy of the occupation city council from the ‘United Russia’ party.

Volodymyr Udalov is part of the close circle of the criminal authority “Zai”

In Israel by that time their daughter had begun to attend school, and Hanna Hlyhach was showcasing notable success on social networks.

There is a suggestion that the sister of the Kherson policeman flew from Israel to Russia in the summer of 2023 specifically to obtain housing certificates. As a person with Holoprystan registration, she had the right to receive housing in Russia, according to changes in Russian legislation.

So, most likely, she took advantage of that opportunity.

Before going to Russia, she stayed in Austria, most likely with some relative.

In the summer of 2023 Anna traveled from and to Kherson region several times, but at least once, in the same car with her ex-husband.

Each time Hanna Hlyhach moved through Russian checkpoints on the administrative border between occupied Crimea and Kherson region in a grey VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT 2013. And at least once, on July 14, 2023, Hanna Hlyhach and Volodymyr Udalov left in this car together, which we traced via leaked Russian databases.

The third passenger was Hlyhach’s mother, Iryna.

In December 2024 Hanna was already residing in Anapa or Novorossiysk. From the latter city she uploaded a video on December 24. There are many videos from Novorossiysk on Hlyhach’s Instagram, but they are all shot with a very blurred background.

In that same city on August 1, 2025 her daughter Lada, who had practiced competitive dance professionally in Ukraine and in Israel, joined the local team Royal Dance Club, coached by Oleksandr Bilyi. Lada Hlyhach’s dance partner became Novorossiysk resident Mark Truntsevskyi.

Hanna and Serhiy Hlyhach’s father Serhiy in 2023 exchanged his driver’s license and received a SNILS.

So, there can be no mistake — the Kherson policeman’s sister and parents voluntarily and consciously moved to Russia and still live there.

This in no way means that Serhiy Hlyhach Jr. is a bad policeman. But relatives living in Russia can be a major problem and a risk.
