The former executive office manager of the Kakhovka City Council, Vitaliy Chernyavskyi, who works for the occupiers in Crimea, continues to claim hundreds of thousands of hryvnias from the Ukrainian budget.
This was reported by the Center for Journalistic Investigations.
According to journalists, since June 2025 Chernyavskyi, who has effectively not performed his duties since the start of the full-scale invasion, has been paid over 140 thousand hryvnias for the so-called “downtime”.
At the same time, since December 2023 Chernyavskyi has been officially employed at a school in occupied Crimea. There he teaches history and social studies according to Russian curricula, and also gives propaganda lectures for the military organizations “Yunarmiya” and “Rukh Pershykh”.
Despite obvious collaboration with the Russians, Chernyavskyi is trying to recover from Ukraine another approximately 190 thousand hryvnias as compensation for “forced absence”. Earlier, the Kakhovka city military administration suspended his employment relations with him, but courts of previous instances sided with the collaborator, recognizing the MVA’s decision as illegal.
The case is currently under consideration in the Supreme Court.
