Currently the mayor of Kherson Ihor Kolykhaiev, kidnapped by the Russians, is in Perm Krai in the Urals, where he is being held in extremely harsh conditions.
His son Sviatoslav told Vhoru about this.
According to him, Sviatoslav receives the latest information about his father’s condition from freed prisoners of war who were with him at various stages of imprisonment.
Before being taken to Perm Krai, Kolykhaiev was in Taganrog, where he spent almost nine months in solitary confinement.
In the Urals the prisoners stay together, but the regime remains strict: they are forced to stand all day and suffer beatings, Sviatoslav Kolykhaiev noted.
The son reports that Ihor Kolykhaiev’s health is serious. Many released prisoners confirm that he suffers from wounds, ulcers on his legs and eczema, due to which he was forced to remain bedridden for a long time and be treated in the infirmary. Sviatoslav adds that such information comes only from those who were directly with his father, and there are no other sources.
Ihor Kolykhaiev has been in the Urals for almost a year, and the latest confirmations of his presence date back to August 2025.
Russian military kidnapped Ihor Kolykhaiev during the occupation of the city.
Kolykhaiev’s cellmate, Kherson resident Taras Bukriev, said that the mayor of Kherson was taken from Chaplynka at the end of November 2022, and the Chechens who interrogated him, were interested in his business.
