On Thursday Ukraine crossed the 60-medal mark won at the 2012 Paralympics in London. Among the medalists are representatives of our region.
Representatives of the Kherson region, international masters of sport, Ekaterina Morozova and Vladimir Kozlov won bronze medals in rowing as part of the four over the 1000-metre distance.
In total, 5 athletes from the Kherson region went to London to defend the country’s honor: Victoria Kravchenko (athletics), Ekaterina Morozova (rowing), Vladimir Kozlov (rowing), Ivan Dotsenko (football) and Irina Volynets (archery).
Thus, Ukraine holds fourth place in the overall team standings, having 23 gold medals, 17 silver and 21 bronze.
