Law enforcement officers have reported suspicion against Kherson resident Yuriy Horokhov, who took an active part in supporting the occupying authorities of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territory.
This is stated on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, Horokhov participated in a political event organized by the occupation administration in Bilozerka. During the so-called “entrepreneurs’ meeting” he delivered a public monologue aimed at creating a positive image of Russia, justifying the occupation and urging local entrepreneurs to cooperate with the authorities of the Russian Federation.

The speech was recorded by Russian media and later circulated on the Telegram channel “Administration of the Bilozersky Municipal District”.
Horokhov is accused under Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (active participation in political events in support of the aggressor state and its occupation administration) and Part 1 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justification and recognition as lawful the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the temporary occupation of part of the state’s territory).
Since 2006 Yuriy Horokhov has been an individual entrepreneur in Kherson and carried out activities in the field of retail trade in non-specialized stores.
In 2015, while serving as director of the branch of LLC “TAIS-Distribution”, he ran for the Kherson City Council from the “Socialists” party, but was not elected.
During the temporary occupation of the Kherson region, the Russians appointed him head of the illegally created “Association of Employers and Entrepreneurs of the Bilozersky District”.
