Law enforcement officers have notified Kherson resident Olena Kolisnichenko of suspicion of participation in organizing and conducting an illegal referendum that Russian occupiers held in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region in September 2022.
It is reported on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to investigators, the suspect acted in prior collusion with others and took part in preparing and conducting the so‑called referendum on the accession of Kherson region to Russia.
Investigators claim that the woman carried out door‑to‑door visits of Kherson residents, urged them to participate in the vote, used voter lists to mark votes, and performed other actions related to organizing the pseudo‑referendum.
Law enforcement qualified the woman’s actions under Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 5 of Art. 111‑1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — participation in organizing and conducting an illegal referendum in a temporarily occupied territory, committed by prior collusion of a group of persons.
