Kherson resident Pavlo Matviiets, a volunteer of the public organization “Strong Because Free”, was posthumously awarded the President of Ukraine’s distinction “Golden Heart”.
The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Ukraine.
As stated in the document, the award was conferred for a significant personal contribution to providing volunteer assistance and to the development of the volunteer movement, in particular during measures to ensure Ukraine’s defense, to protect the safety of the population and the interests of the state in connection with the Russian Federation’s military aggression against Ukraine and to overcome its consequences, and for an active civic position.
Recall that in the Kherson region honored two fallen soldiers Volodymyr Tarasov and Stanislav Stepansky with the Order “For Courage” III degree.
