Kherson director, Honored Art Worker of Ukraine Serhii Pavliuk and actor and veteran Volodymyr Tuka received the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Prize.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
They received the award for the best depiction of military themes in works of literature and art in 2025.
They gained nationwide recognition from the joint one-man performance “One-Day Hero”, the basis of which is the real story of Volodymyr Tuka, whose life path was radically changed by the war. Together the artists were able to turn the memories of the Defense Forces veteran into a profound stage confession, the post says.
The Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Prize is awarded for the best coverage of military themes in works of literature and art for works aimed at affirming the courage, heroism, and self-sacrifice of servicemen, demonstrated while defending the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
