Kherson hockey club «Dnipro» became the champion of the Youth Hockey League of Ukraine. In the final playoff series to three wins, Kherson’s «Dnipro» defeated the Kyiv team «Sokil».

In the fourth match of the final, Kostyantyn Butsenko’s team won with a score of 3:0 (0:0, 2:0, 1:0). In the second period, goals were scored by Maksym Zhovtyak and Tymofii Ponomarov. In the final 20-minute period, Dmytro Mosyuk converted a power play.
Overall result of the final series «Dnipro» – «Sokil» – 3:1 (2:3-overtime, 8:2, 7:0 and 3:0).
Recall, the Kherson hockey club “Dnipro” became the leader in the tournament standings of the Ukrainian championship.
Thus, the Kherson hockey players began the 2026 season as the tournament leader and one of the main contenders for the championship.
