Kherson hockey club “Dnipro” in a nominally home match in Kyiv secured a victory over the reigning champion — HC “Sokil” by a score of 11:2.

Two goals each for “Dnipro” were scored by Maksym Zhovtyak, Tymofiy Laktionov, Hlib Chupryna and Illia Shcherbak. One each — Mykhailo Deliy, Valentyn Tonyshev and Tymofiy Ponomaryov.
In the third period, goalkeeper Damir Chaharovskyi made his debut for the Kherson team.
Recall, the Kherson hockey club “Dnipro” became the leader in the standings of the Ukrainian Championship.
Thus, the Kherson hockey players began the 2026 season as the tournament leader and one of the main contenders for the title.
