Kherson City Court found city council deputy Yurii Poputko guilty of violating traffic rules.
The corresponding ruling was published on the EDRSR website.
According to the case materials, the incident occurred on the morning of January 26 on Mykolaivske Highway in Kherson.
While driving a Citroen C1, the deputy failed to take account of the road conditions, lost control and crashed into a concrete support that holds anti-drone nets.
“Being inattentive, he did not monitor the road situation, did not choose a safe driving speed on a slippery road, failed to control the vehicle and collided with the concrete support that holds anti-drone nets, as a result of which the car sustained mechanical damage”, – the ruling states.
At the court hearing Yurii Poputko fully admitted his guilt.
He was found guilty of committing an administrative offense and was fined 850 hryvnias. In addition, he must pay over 665 hryvnias in court fees.
Note that according to information from property registers, Yurii Poputko does not have a car. According to his 2021 declaration, he uses a 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander that belongs to Nadiia Poputko.
