In May 2026, medical institutions of Kherson region received 43 million hryvnias under package No. “Ensuring the preservation of staffing capacity for providing medical care to the population located in territories of active hostilities”.
This was reported by the National Health Service of Ukraine.
Kherson region entered the top three regions with the largest payments. Only Odesa region – 53 million UAH and Kharkiv – 49 million UAH received more.
The NHSU noted that the funds are directed to support medical workers who continue to work in dangerous conditions, provide stabilization for the wounded, deliver emergency care to patients, and support the continuous operation of hospitals and hospital routes.
Overall in May the National Health Service of Ukraine paid medical institutions 16.1 billion UAH under the Medical Guarantees Program. Of these, 257 million UAH were allocated specifically to preserve the staffing capacity of medical personnel in regions where hostilities continue.
Earlier it was reported that in the cities of Kherson region doctors will be able to receive service housing.
