The members of Kherson Children’s and Youth Physical Training Club No. 5 won 13 medals at Kyokushin karate tournaments in Ukraine and Poland.
This was reported by the Kherson City Council.
In particular, the athletes took part in a training camp and the open all-Ukrainian tournament GLORY CUP 2026, where they won two gold, three silver and one bronze medal.
Also, the Kherson karatekas took part in a training camp in the town of Kroshnice and in the tournament «II Turnej o Puchar Starosty Powiatu», which took place in the Polish town of Chojnówka. There they won five gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal.
The athletes are coached by the club’s trainers Serhii Derii, Yuliia Derii and Ihor Dotsenko.
As a reminder, a gymnast from Kherson became the champion of the All-Ukrainian competitions.
