A Kyokushin Budo karate championship was held in Poltava Oblast in the “kumite” and “kata” divisions. The Kherson community was represented by 14 members of Children and Youth Physical Training Club No. 4 of the Kherson City Council.

The athletes won 17 awards: 8 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze.
The students were coached by Mykhailo Chernov and Oleksandr Platov.
Coach and athlete Mykhailo Chernov also took part in the competitions and won first place in the “kumite” division and second place in “kata”.
Recall, rescue firefighter of the State Emergency Service of Kherson region Kyrylo Aharin, as part of the team “Cherkasy Cossacks” won first place at the all-Ukrainian futsal tournament “Cup of the Unbreakables”.
