Children from Kherson who took part in a film festival in Prague and received a cash award for winning donated the funds to the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported on the brigade’s Facebook page.
The report noted that the film “Attack of the Mutated Watermelons” was created by Kherson residents in collaboration with filmmakers from the Czech Republic. The film’s plot depicts events related to the war and the Russian occupation.

After the screening, the children handed the soldiers the award – the money they had received for winning the film festival.
In turn, the Ukrainian defenders presented them with an award and the brigade flag.

Earlier we wrote that the film “The Editorial” by Roman Bondarchuk, filmed in the Kherson region, was shown as part of the Ukrainian Film Festival 2025 in London. On September 18 the festival was opened with the screening of the film.
