A significant portion of the Kherson community’s budget this year was allocated to social protection. In particular, for the first time a program of support for veterans, prisoners of war and civilian detainees has been adopted, which provides for their social and psychological support.
About this, in an interview with MOST , said the head of KhMVA Yaroslav Shanko.
As he noted, previously the veteran support sector in the municipal community was underdeveloped, despite its high cost and importance. The new program aims to partially address these needs.
In addition, the community plans to implement programs to support young medical specialists. This involves creating housing programs and additional incentives for doctors who agree to work in difficult security conditions.
Shanko noted that these areas were previously unfunded or non-existent, but now they are being gradually implemented taking into account wartime challenges.
Earlier the head of Kherson MVA explained what the Kherson community’s budget will be in 2026.
