In the Kherson region, they plan to move away from the centralized heat supply system and switch to heating with modular boiler plants.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
Thus, during a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, a plan to prepare the Kherson region for the next heating season was presented to Volodymyr Zelensky.
The document provides for a phased replacement of the centralized heating system with modular boiler plants. This format was identified as more efficient and more resilient to wartime risks.
Recall, on December 4 last year, as a result of systematic Russian shelling, the Kherson CHP ceased operation. After that, more than 40,500 customers were left without heating.
According to the chairman of the board of NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Serhii Koretskyi, by systematically shelling the CHP’s territory the Russian forces want to deprive the possibility to restore the equipment of the station.
It is currently impossible to predict the timeline for restoration due to the danger to repair crews.
