Kherson Oblast and the French region of Brittany have officially become partners.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
He signed a memorandum of cooperation with the President of the Regional Council of Brittany, Loïg Chesnais-Girard.
The document provides for establishing interregional cooperation, support for the population, strengthening the region’s capacities and exchange of experience.
The parties agreed on concrete steps. Kherson Oblast will receive additional protective anti-drone nets from the National Committee of Breton Fishermen and a humanitarian shipment from French partners.
Local Breton plants will also be planted in the “Field of Friendship” to see how they will take root in Kherson Oblast. A summer holiday for children from the region in Brittany has also been planned.
It is noted that the thousands of kilometers of nets that Breton fishermen had provided earlier are now saving the lives of Kherson Oblast residents from Russian drone attacks.
