Kherson Oblast may receive funds from a state subsidy for arranging housing for internally displaced persons. In total, the government has allocated UAH 1.5 billion for these needs.
This was reported on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Kherson Oblast and seven other oblasts are included in the list of frontline regions that can receive 100% funding. This applies to communities that are not located in areas of active hostilities.
The funds are planned to be directed to arranging housing for displaced people. In particular, UAH 1 billion is provided for the repair, re-equipment, and arrangement of temporary or supported accommodation places for IDPs. Another UAH 500 million is to be used to purchase houses in rural areas.
The subsidy will be distributed among oblasts according to two indicators: 70% — depending on the number of displaced persons in the region, and the remaining 30% — depending on the number of temporary or supported accommodation places for IDPs.
