The Kherson City Court delivered a verdict against the passport officer of the occupation police of the Kherson region, Nataliya Isaykova.
This is stated in the court’s verdict.
According to the investigation, during the occupation of Kherson the woman voluntarily took a position in an illegally created passport-and-visa unit, where she helped the occupation administration organize the institution’s work.
In October last year Nataliya Isaykova was detained by Ukrainian law enforcement officers.
At the trial the woman stated that she allegedly thought she was working in “translation bureau” and only translated documents, and explained her employment by fear and lack of money. She partially admitted guilt.
These statements were contradicted by witnesses who had also worked for or applied to the occupation’s migration service. They confirmed that Isaykova performed the functions of a passport-and-visa service employee and was part of the staff. Another employee of the occupation authority certified the authenticity of the documents found during the search, which confirm the personnel records of that authority.
Nataliya Isaykova was found guilty of collaborationist activity (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The prosecutor insisted on 15 years of imprisonment, but the court sentenced her to 12 years without confiscation of property.
Earlier we wrote that the Kherson City Court delivered a verdict against the former director of Kherson School No. 30 Oksana Barnash. She was found guilty of collaborationism and aiding the aggressor state.
