A 43-year-old resident of Hola Prystan in the Kherson region has been notified in absentia of suspicion of collaborationist activity.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to investigators, after the city’s occupation, in the summer of 2022 the woman headed the so-called Central branch of the postal service.
She took direct part in the illegal creation of the institution and, in her role as its head, disseminated materials aimed at legitimizing the occupying structures.
In addition, the suspect, in an interview with media controlled by the Kremlin, said that the post office had allegedly resumed operations.
She also emphasized the payment of pensions in rubles and thanked Russia for “assistance to the population”.
The investigation is ongoing. If the woman is convicted, she faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 10 to 12 years with confiscation of property, the prosecutor’s office said in a post.
Earlier it was reported that a native of Bilozerka was charged for working for the occupying Ministry of Agriculture.
