The occupying authorities in Kakhovka are proposing that people with kidney disease travel to Henichesk for hemodialysis.
This was reported by the occupation head of the so-called Kakhovka municipal district, Pavlo Filipchuk.
He claims that there are supposedly not many residents who need such a procedure, and opening a hemodialysis unit requires “a permanent staff of employees and special expensive equipment”.
“Patients from the district will be transported free of charge by public transport to Henichesk. To travel there for free, you must obtain a certificate from the Henichesk hospital stating that you require hemodialysis. Then with this certificate come to Tavrychanka and show it to the driver of the scheduled bus. The certificate will serve as your travel document”, – wrote Filipchuk.
It should be noted that before Russia’s full-scale invasion, a hemodialysis unit with “artificial kidney” machines operated in Kakhovka.
According to journalist Oleh Baturyn, the unit’s equipment was looted by the Russians themselves.
Hemodialysis is a procedure for cleansing the blood using an “artificial kidney” machine. It is needed by people whose kidneys have lost the ability to independently cleanse the blood of toxins and remove excess fluid.
