21-year-old figure skater from Kherson Kyrylo Marsak made his debut at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, showing the best result of his career in the men’s singles short program.
This was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
For a clean skate of the short program the Ukrainian athlete received 86.89 points, which is 10 points above his previous personal best. This result allowed Kyrylo Marsak to qualify early for the free skate of the Olympic tournament.
The free skate will take place on February 13.
The figure skater dedicated his short program performance to his father — Andrii Marsak, who is currently at the front, skating to the composition “Fall On Me” performed by Andrea and Matteo Bocelli.
Kyrylo Marsak is representing Ukraine at his first Olympic Games.
Recall that the figure skater from Kherson, Kyrylo Marsak, won the international tournament Merano Ice Trophy – Memorial Martina Barricelli, which was held in the Italian city of Merano.

Kyrylo Marsak was born in Kherson. He competes in men’s singles. He is a three-time Ukrainian champion (2023-2025), bronze medalist of the Ukrainian championship (2021).
Kyrylo Marsak is also the Ukrainian junior champion (2021) and a participant in the European Championships (2023) and the World Championships (2023, 2025).
He became the first Ukrainian to land a quadruple Lutz (a jump in figure skating that has four rotations in the air, – bridge) at international competitions in the 21st century.
