From the point of view of the Criminal Code, the actions of Kherson mayor Ihor Kolykhaiev at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation raise a number of questions.
This was told in an interview with MOST by the former deputy mayor of Kherson, Roman Holovnia.
“For me Ihor Kolykhaiev is definitely not a hero, regarding whether he is a traitor or not – I’m not a judge. The position “for the people” – I consider it hypocritical. I understand that Kolykhaiev took on the obligation that, supposedly, we would hold the city, that everything would be calm – for the Russians this was a very good situation”, – said Holovnia.
Recall that Russian forces kidnapped Ihor Kolykhaiev during the occupation of the city. This happened in June 2022.
According to the latest data, the mayor of Kherson is being held in the Urals. His health condition, according to Kolykhaiev’s son Sviatoslav, is serious.
