A court has delivered a verdict against former State Emergency Service (SES) employee of Kherson region Inna Denysenko, who during the occupation of Kherson sided with the Russian Federation.
This is stated in the relevant court verdict.
Before the full-scale invasion, Denysenko held the rank of major and worked as an assistant to the head of the duty shift in the operational and coordination center of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Kherson Oblast.
In the summer of 2022 she refused to leave for territory controlled by Ukraine and voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupation administration.
As investigators established, at the end of August 2022 she took the position of senior assistant to the head of the duty shift in the so-called Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) in Kherson Oblast.
She ensured the operation of the occupiers’ dispatch service and supervised civil protection measures according to Russian standards.
Evidence of her guilt included testimony from former colleagues who identified the woman in video footage, as well as her own interview with the propaganda TV channel “Tavria”, where she appeared as a representative of the occupation structure.
Inna Denysenko was found guilty of state treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
She was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property. She was also stripped of the special rank of major of the civil protection service.
