Law enforcement officers have notified a local resident of suspicion, whom they consider to be involved in crimes against the foundations of Ukraine’s national security.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, the 46-year-old woman previously worked for more than 10 years as a senior investigator in a district police department in Kherson, but in 2011 she was dismissed from the internal affairs bodies. At the time of her detention she was not employed.
Investigators established that during 2025 she sent electronic letters to state and law enforcement agencies containing pro-Russian narratives. In particular, she promoted ideas of the unification of Ukraine with the Russian Federation, distorted historical facts and spoke contemptuously about the Ukrainian language.
Also, in her appeals the woman spread disinformation about events in the region and supported the propagandistic theses of the aggressor state about the so-called “special military operation”, justifying its objectives.
In addition, according to law enforcement, in July 2022 she received a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and openly boasted about it.
The woman is accused of encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, as well as producing and disseminating materials that justify the armed aggression of the Russian Federation (Part 1 of Article 110, Parts 2 and 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Currently she is in custody.
Earlier we wrote that the former head of the occupation village council in the Kherson region was notified of suspicion.
