In the Kherson region, a former head of one of the departments of the Pension Fund of Ukraine was convicted of collaborationist activities and aiding the aggressor state.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, in November 2022 the woman voluntarily went over to the side of the occupiers and took the position of deputy head of the occupation administration of the so-called Oleshky municipal district.
The woman took part in establishing Russian authority in the community and facilitated the work of illegal occupation administration bodies. According to the prosecutor’s office, she threatened guardians with the removal of children if they refused to provide personal data.
The collaborator also personally took part in removing children from families and, under the pretext of “rehabilitation”, coerced parents into transporting children to the territory of Russia.
In addition, the convicted woman forced residents of the community to obtain Russian passports. Later she joined the “United Russia” party, received a mandate from the illegal council of deputies of the Oleshky district, and headed this occupation body.
The court found her guilty under articles concerning collaborationist activities and aiding the aggressor state. She was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Earlier, investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation announced suspicion against former employee of the Kherson pre-trial detention center Rostyslav Kulyk, who took a job with an illegally created body set up by the occupiers.
