The court found a Kherson region resident, Bohdana Polishchuk, guilty of collaborationist activities for voluntarily assuming a leadership position in the occupation administration on the territory of the Bilozerka community.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, in August 2022 the convicted person became the so‑called head of the village Tomyna Balka within the structure of the occupiers’ illegal military-civil administration.
In this position she collected personal data of local residents, organized the work of subordinates, hired employees, paid salaries in rubles, and carried out the orders of the occupation authorities.
The court sentenced her to 8 years of imprisonment with a ban on holding positions in government bodies, local self-government, and structures that provide public services for a period of 12 years.
The verdict was rendered in absentia. The convicted person will serve the sentence after being detained.
For reference, a suspicion of collaboration against Polishchuk was announced in July 2024.
