The court has issued a verdict against the former director of the municipal enterprise “Khersonmisksvitlo” Oleksandr Tkach, who helped the occupiers loot the institution.
This is stated on the website of the Judiciary.
As the investigation established and the court confirmed, in March 2022 Tkach voluntarily went over to the occupiers’ side and headed the enterprise “Khersongorsvet” illegally created by the Russians, which was a copy of the real municipal enterprise.
The court found that after siding with the enemy, Tkach organized the work of the illegal enterprise, built its staff, and transferred the community’s property to the occupiers.
In particular, at the end of October 2022 he organized the removal to the occupied territory on the left bank of the Kherson region of two truck-mounted aerial platforms that belonged to the community of Kherson. The total value of the equipment amounted to over 2.3 million hryvnias.
One of the employees of the KP “Khersonmisksvitlo” told the court that Tkach remotely managed the process of removing the equipment and was at that time on the left bank.
The court in absentia found Oleksandr Tkach guilty of assisting an aggressor state (Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 1 of Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property in favor of the state.
Recall that in 2021 the mayor of Kherson Ihor Kolykhaiev appointed Oleksandr Tkach to the position of head of KP “Khersonmisksvitlo”. This appointment was lobbied by Tkach’s daughter, who worked as a secretary in the office of Ihor Kolykhaiev’s company.
The company’s staff appealed to Kolykhaiev asking him not to do this, but Tkach was appointed anyway.
At the end of 2022 the then head of the MVA Halyna Luhova stated that Tkach worked for the Russians during the occupation of Kherson.
In May 2023 it became known that Tkach was participating in the United Russia primaries in occupied Kherson region. His daughter Angelina also took part in the primaries with him.
