Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine announced suspicion against former deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Heorhiy Harkusha, who became a pseudo-deputy in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region.
This was reported in the notice of suspicion on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation materials, in 2024 Harkusha became a deputy of the so-called council of deputies of the Oleshky municipal district from the party “United Russia”. He was also included in the commission on industry, construction and support of entrepreneurship.
In addition, he took part in a session where the procedure for electing the head of the occupation district was considered, and was present at meetings of the pseudo-council.
Heorhiy Harkusha is suspected under Part 1 of Article 28 and Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaborationist activity).
Recall, in 2015 Harkusha was elected a deputy of the Kherson Regional Council from the “Opposition Bloc”.
In 2020 he ran for the Kherson Regional Council from the Volodymyr Saldo Bloc, but was not elected.
In 2022 was seen at the Victory Day celebration organized by them in Kherson, where he carried a Russian flag.
According to data from Russian registries, on May 25, 2023 Heorhiy Harkusha registered as an individual entrepreneur with the main type of activity «Retail sale mainly of food products, including beverages, and tobacco products in non-specialized stores». And on April 16, 2024 the registration was annulled on the basis of the entrepreneur’s personal statement about his termination of activity.
