At the executive committee of the Kherson City Council, the composition of the Coordination Council on issues of support for civilians who were deprived of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine,
their families and the families of persons who went missing under special circumstances was approved in a new edition.
The order was signed by the head of the Kherson MVA Yaroslav Shanko.
The body included representatives of the relevant structural subdivisions of the city council, district authorities and representatives of charitable and public organizations.
The Coordination Council was headed by NGO member “Successful Woman” Oleg Akimchenkov.
Recall, Akimchenkov is a former deputy of the Kherson City Council from Batkivshchyna in 2010-2015 and the owner of a network of tailoring ateliers in Kherson.
In 2015 he was involved in a scandal because he imposed a “tribute” on a vegetable seller, and in 2017 he was accused of illegal tree felling and seizing the sanitary zone on the territory of the condominium association “Raiduga-center”.
In 2022 the Russians abducted Akimchenkov and kept him in a basement.
Akimchenkov was also remembered for the fact that it was to him without conducting tendersthe regional Department of Culture of the Kherson RSA was “channeling” millions of hryvnias for the sewing of stage costumes.
In 2023 Akimchenkov was awarded the presidential distinction the “Golden Heart”.The above-mentioned organization “Regional Center for Sustainable Development” nominated him for this award.
In December 2024 he headed a working group that was supposed to control the use of humanitarian aid in the form of household appliances at the Kherson Regional State Administration.
