The Novovorontsovskyi District Court issued a verdict against the head of the occupation council of deputies of Kakhovka, Oleksandr Zuiev.
This is stated in the court’s verdict.
According to the investigation, in September 2023 Zuiev agreed to take part in the illegal elections to the occupation council of deputies of the so-called Kakhovka municipal district as a candidate from the All-Russian political party “United Russia”.
Later he was appointed a member of the standing committee on legality and parliamentary ethics.
As a deputy, Zuiev holds meetings with citizens on social and household issues, on the provision of services to citizens by the illegal authorities, on the calculation of pensions and social payments, and conducts active work with the local population of the occupied territories of Kherson region, the verdict says.
Having examined the evidence, the court in absentia found Oleksandr Zuiev guilty of collaborationist activities (part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property.
Recall, Oleksandr Zuiev – a close friend of the collaborator and occupation leader of Kakhovka, Pavlo Filipchuk. In April 2022 he took part in the seizure of the Kakhovka city council.
At the end of last year Zuiev was detained in Henichesk for driving a car while under the influence of drugs.
Two years earlier he had been detained while under the influence of drugs in Crimea.
