The first thousand electric and gas heaters are heading to the Kherson region – they will be given to people who have been left without heating due to the shutdown of the Kherson CHPP.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
“Together with “Naftogaz of Ukraine” we are working to ensure people receive electric and gas heaters. The first thousand – are already on their way to the region”, – he wrote.
Recall that as a result of systematic Russian shelling the Kherson CHPP stopped operating on the morning of December 4. Currently 470 buildings remain without centralized heating – that is over 40.5 thousand subscribers. The city authorities are considering alternative heating options for those homes that were previously connected to the CHPP.
Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that due to the ongoing shelling the restoration of the CHPP cannot be predicted.
