During the forum “Ukrainian South: Resilience. Recovery. Future”, which took place on October 24 in Mykolaiv, the head of the Kherson OVA Oleksandr Prokudin said that an additional 460 million hryvnias are needed to equip roads with anti-drone nets.
This is reported by Novyny N.
As of today, according to Prokudin, 64 kilometers of roads in the Kherson region have already been equipped with anti-drone protection. In total, 394 kilometers need to be protected, the statement says.
Recall, in July 2025 in Kherson and on the “Kherson — Mykolaiv” route they began hanging anti-drone nets to protect transport from Russian drones. For this, they purchased mesh fabric for 5.1 million UAH.
Recently, the head of the Kherson OVA Oleksandr Prokudin said that several dozen kilometers of the region’s roads have already been protected by anti-drone nets. However not enough money was available for more.
Later, the OVA reported that after an appeal by one of Kherson’s journalists to foreign volunteers, more were brought.
So work to protect the Kherson region’s roads continues, but as the military say, anti-drone nets alone are not enough.
