On the occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the director of the Kherson Regional Oncology Center, Iryna Sokur, the Order of Princess Olga, 3rd class.
The relevant decree was published on the president’s website.
Iryna Sokur has headed the Kherson Regional Oncology Dispensary since September 2003.
In 2015 she was awarded the honorary title «Honored Doctor of Ukraine».
That same year Sokur ran for the Kherson Regional Council from the BPP party, but was not elected.
In 2020 she was elected as a deputy of the Kherson Regional Council from the «Our Land» party. That same year she headed the faction of this political force in the regional council.
Iryna Sokur is also a co-founder of the public organization «Kherson Regional Association of Chief Physicians».
Earlier MOST reported that, based on the results of 2023, Kherson Regional Council deputy Iryna Sokur increased her hryvnia savings by 20%.
