Today Russian forces once again struck populated areas of the Kherson region, using artillery, mortars and drones. As a result of the attacks one man was killed and four other civilians were wounded.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office. They noted that pre-trial investigations have been opened on the facts of the shelling under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of the laws and customs of war.
According to investigators, since morning the occupiers repeatedly dropped explosive devices from drones. One of the strikes hit a public transport stop in Kherson – a man was killed and another was wounded. Later two people sustained injuries in Kherson and Antonivka.
In addition, in the village of Velyka Oleksandrivka a man was blown up by a mine right in his own yard. As a result of the attacks residential houses, an educational institution, administrative buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged.
For reference, Ukrainian law enforcement officers have notified Russian serviceman Andriy Khomutov of suspicion; during the occupation of Kherson he tortured and unlawfully detained civilians.
