The district of Kherson where the Kherson thermal power plant is located was and remains under constant shelling and drone attacks by Russian forces. There were days when station workers could not even leave their shelter.
This was reported on air by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
“There were days when for nine hours the workers could not even leave their shelter, because strikes were constantly “arriving”, drones controlled this territory”, – said Prokudin.
Recall that as a result of systematic Russian shelling the Kherson thermal power plant ceased operations on the morning of December 4.
Currently 50% of the city is without heat supply. It is impossible to forecast restoration timelines due to the danger to repair crews.
However, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the first thousand electric and gas heaters are already heading to the Kherson region – they will be given to people who have been left without heating due to the shutdown of the Kherson thermal power plant.
