Tonight, as a result of another Russian attack on Kyiv, a resident of Kakhovka, emergency medical technician Serhiy Smolyak, was killed.
This was reported on the Kakhovka MVA page.
“Serhiy arrived at the site of the strike on a residential building in the Darnytskyi district to rescue people. During a subsequent enemy strike he was killed while performing his professional duty,” they noted there.
For more than 25 years Serhiy Smolyak worked as a senior paramedic with the emergency medical service in Kakhovka.
“Already in Kyiv Serhiy continued to do what he did best — help people, without thinking about the danger to himself. He was not only a dedicated medical professional, but also a loving husband, father and grandfather,” the Kakhovka MVA wrote.
Note that as a result of the Russian Federation’s attack on Kyiv on January 9, 25 people were injured and four more were killed. Significant destruction was recorded in the capital, including damage to the building of one of the embassies.
