On the night of June 7, as a result of a drone attack the bridge deck was damaged in the area of the village of Chonhar on the administrative border between the occupied parts of Kherson region and Crimea.
This was reported by the occupation-appointed governor of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo.
Because of the bridge damage, the occupiers temporarily closed traffic through the automobile checkpoint «Dzhankoy».
“Vehicle traffic is being carried out via the ПП «Armiansk» and ПП «Perekop»”, – Saldo noted.
At the end of May, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a number of strikes on the equipment of the occupying forces in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region. In particular, the land corridor to Crimea came under attack.
In this connection, the occupation-appointed governor Volodymyr Saldo signed a decree on the temporary restriction of heavy vehicle traffic along the R-280 “Novorossiya”.
Earlier it was also reported that in occupied Luhansk region passenger connections with Kherson region and Crimea were restricted.
