Famous British photographer and humanitarian Giles Duley, in an interview with NV, revealed details of organizing the trip of Hollywood actress and ambassador Angelina Jolie to Ukraine in November 2025, in particular the reasons for her visit to frontline Kherson.

According to Duley, before the trip he met with Jolie in London, where she asked for advice on the route. It was his humanitarian organization’s team that suggested Kherson to the actress, since their ambulances operate in the city, which made it possible to take care of the star’s safety. At the same time, it was a place where she could personally see the living conditions of people on the front line.
Giles Duley emphasized that Jolie’s visit was of great importance for boosting the morale of local residents and the military at the front. He stressed that the situation in Kherson, which suffers from regular strikes, remains one of the least discussed topics in the world, despite the fact that Russian forces are deliberately targeting civilians and medical teams.
